When the loudness switch is on, it boosts low frequency of 100Hz using C33 and R33 and the high frequency at 10kHz by C31

this is why the value of C31 needs to be changed if the volume control is replaced with a different value (should be higher than 20 kohm)

the frequency can be calculated from.the formula

f= 1/(2*pi*R*C)

since Alps stopped making the volume control with 8 pins, expect lots of replacements made without compensating for it
