I spent two hours today on upgrading Ubuntu Linux installation to 6.10 (Edgy Eft) co-existing with a Windows XP install.
Took me the usual 2 hours to download the whole ISO, burn then install on my notebook.
I used ext3 files system on Linux, NTFS on Windows (of course) and FAT32 for the common partition to be accessed by both OSes.
Note that I'm sharing my email between the two OSes with Thunderbird and also my bookmarks using Firefox. Some files, due to their confidential nature, need to be encrypted and accessible again to both OSes using TrueCrypt
works great, isn't it
Uncomplicating the Complicated stuff from a guy who's not can be really technical, with lots of ideas on hand but no time to blog.
